• 1. What first inspired you to design handcrafted jewelry, Barb? How long ago did you begin?

I have always loved jewelry, and would often have a mental picture of what kind of earrings or ring I wanted. Then I would try to find them in a store and couldn’t! Once my three children were a little older and not interested in hanging out with Mom, I finally had time for a hobby. Designing jewelry just seemed to be the obvious choice. So about 18 months ago I set out to teach myself how to make my own jewelry. It has been a wonderful experience! I love that now I can make EXACTLY what I want!

• 2. Do your college/university studies tie in with your interest in jewelry, or is this just a hobby?

Ha! Definitely not! I am a mechanical engineer. Although I have always loved math and science, I have also always had a creative side wanting to break out! I am not your stereotypical engineer…my career choices have always been position....." READ MORE!
