Jewellery Designer Interview: Danielle H. Ross

Danielle is a wonderful designer and I am honored to be able to interview her. She is based in Arkansas, America, and set out eight years ago to create unique handmade jewelry. I hope you enjoy reading about her jewelry as much as I do!
  • What was it about the study of Geology that inspired you design gemstone jewelry, Danielle? I chose Geology because I had always been interested in fossils and rocks.  I took a mineralogy class, and this is when I took an interest in minerals (gemstones).  At that time, my interest in gemstones was mostly for collecting purposes.  I graduated in 2000 and somewhere between then and 2002, I became interested in designing beaded jewelry using semi-precious gemstones, of course.  I just loved gemstones, and I wanted to be able to wear them.  I never thought I would be designing gemstone jewelry for other people.  I basically taught myself and the designs went from a very basic necklace to the gemstone and fossil jewelry designs you see on www.daniellecreations.com and www.gemstonejewelrybydanielle.com
  • What's the best thing about being a designer? I love expressing myself as a jewelry artist through my designs.  I am inspired by the natural minerals and fossils to create simple but expressive handcrafted jewelry designs....CONTINUE READING THE INTERVIEW
